Piccolo Spoleto - Lady Legends Show!

CHARLESTON, SC - Local singers and sisters known as “Gracie & Lacy” are pleased to announce this year’s winner of the annual Great American Songbook Star Contest, Cierra Lundy. Cierra’s tribute to Ella Fitzgerald will be performed live in the “Lady Legends” show at The Charleston Museum on May 28th and June 2nd as part of Piccolo Spoleto Festival.

“The contest is our way to keep music of the Great American Songbook alive,” says Lacy

The Great American Songbook is a general term used to encompass popular music of the 1920s-1960s. Gracie & Lacy have devoted over two decades to the preservation of the music, its composers, artists and backstories. Even Songbook ambassador, Michael Feinstein has taken note, thanking the sisters for “keeping this great era of music alive!” Gracie & Lacy and their Legends Band will make an appearance at Feinstein’s Broadway Supper Club, 54/Below in New York City this fall.

Charlestonians don’t have to go to New York to catch a Gracie & Lacy show, they can experience the powerhouse duo in their hometown in their 3rd annual appearance in Piccolo Spoleto Festival. The Lady Legends show will feature Gracie’s rendition of iconic Fred Astaire and Eleanor Powell tap dance combinations. Audiences will be tempted to sing along as Lacy’s versatile voice recreates the greatest hits of Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand, Patsy Cline and Whitney Houston. This performance and the Songbook Star are sponsored in part by the Lowcountry Quarterly Arts Grant Program.

Gracie & Lacy’s shows are known to sell-out, so advanced tickets are recommended by visiting PiccoloSpoleto.com or calling 866-811-4111. To learn more about Gracie & Lacy, or to book the sisters for a private event, visit: GracieAndLacy.com
