MORE ABOUT GRACIE & LACY
Known for their unusual backstory, Gracie & Lacy’s childhood “Broadway on the Driveway” shows began to draw hundreds, causing traffic jams and catching the attention of the local law enforcement! Once off the driveway, touring act Gracie & Lacy garnered recognition from Marvin Hamlisch and were honored with a Missouri Senatorial Resolution for their leadership in the arts. Today they call Charleston, SC home when not on tour, as patrons flock from around the world to catch their shows in the famed Piccolo Spoleto Festival.
When not performing, Gracie & Lacy can often be found on Folly Beach writing original music or scripts in the very location that George Gershwin was inspired to write Porgy & Bess! They have released two editions of their album “A Salute To The Greatest Generation” which includes hits such as “Summer Wind” and “Alexander’s Ragtime Band.” Gracie & Lacy recently completed the fourth workshop performance of their original Broadway-style musical, “The Four Freedoms - A Tribute To Norman Rockwell” which brought over seventy performers, musicians and staff together for the 2018 Piccolo Spoleto Festival.
Gracie & Lacy love to get involved in their community and have enjoyed the opportunity to raise two happy service dogs, Bliss and Shelby, both trained to help disabled companions with tasks such as opening doors, moving over laundry, balance, and medical alerts. In addition, Gracie & Lacy volunteer with the Red Cross, and produce veteran’s appreciation events in partnership with the Daughters of The American Revolution and Honor Flight. They both have sung in church choir for over 17 years. In 2017, they hosted their first annual Great American Songbook Star contest to introduce young people to the music and preserve it’s legacy.
