CHARLESTON - Are you a vocalist under age 25? You could be Charleston’s next Great American Songbook Star! Local entertainers Gracie & Lacy are hosting the 3rd Annual Great American Songbook Star Search here in the Lowcountry. With a passion to preserve popular American music from the 1920s-1960s, the sisters inspire the next generation to sing and dance timeless standards. Not sure what to sing? Think of hits by stars such as Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Judy Garland, etc. There is no cost to audition, simply prepare an audition video and upload to the entry form provided at GracieAndLacy.com/auditions no later than April 2nd, 2019. Past winners include songstresses Cierra LaShell Lundy of Virginia, and Krista Cheatham of South Carolina who were featured in Gracie & Lacy performances that took place during Piccolo Spoleto Festival. The 2019 winner will also be featured in a live performance this June, so polish up your stage presence and don your fedora or fascinator and croon like the legends!
